We opened our doors in 2017 in Chennai, to provide our customers with an extensive range of artisanal brownies, pastries, handcrafted ice creams & more. Every product sold at The Brownie Studio is prepared with utmost care, precision & love which translates to unparalleled quality and taste. The Brownie Studio over the last few years has grown from its humble beginnings as a home baker to a rapidly growing chain of dessert stores.

Why I started.. I used to eat half the tray of brownies.. So I thought ppl will like it too.. I was too young then :(

I remember the first store being set up. I painted all the wooden structures and one of my friends painted the logo board to save up on the cost. I painted the cupboards and all other tiny items to make it look cute as it was a store in the corner with nothing..  I was requesting the management for 5-6 days if I can use the common light and they don't charge me for that light electricity. It's been almost 6 years now :)  with so many downs and finally I see the light. I'm able to understand what the customer wants.  I used to literally eat half the tray when I baked. I try to give out the same till date..  All the errors and it was zero again during covid. All stores shut and now we have 13 delivery outlets, much better than what we were before.  

We have a large team now. We are increasing the product line. We started with brownies, cakes, now we have cookies, dry cakes, tres leches, and so on. What we always prioritize is the highest quality of ingredients, taste & that smile when the customer opens the product. I just want to create more and more wider smiles. 1 store or X store all i want is everyone who opens the cover just smiles wide. weI love those days and we want more of those days. add some more as to how and about us has to be and finish it pls. let it be crisp.

We've been baking with love ever since, and we're proud to say that we've grown from a humble home bakery to a rapidly growing chain of dessert stores. We now have a team of talented bakers and more than a lakh of happy customers. 

Here is our secret recipe. We start with the highest quality ingredients, and then we add a whole lot of love. Our cakes, brownies and desserts are baked fresh everyday, and they're always rich, delicious, and satisfying. 

We believe that dessert should be fun, so we're always experimenting with new flavors. We're always adding new items to our menu, so you're sure to find something you love.

Own Shalu Version

 When a frustrated employee at an Italian MNC firm is serendipitously gifted an oven as a marriage gift by her best friend - the least she could do as a die-hard brownie lover was to bake brownies for herself.

 

As luck would have it - the brownies turned out to be good and she loved her brownies! Surprisingly, along with her so did her family. Her neighbours. Her friends. The colony kids. And the list of fans grew day by day. 

 

One sunny day, in the middle of her regular ritual of consuming half a tray of these irresistible self baked brownies, sparked the apple-hit-newton’s-head idea - ‘if so many folks are liking this, maybe I should try selling it!’. 

 

And thus began our dessert adventure. 

 

Since our modest beginnings in 2017, nestled in a small space within an IT food court, marked by an inconveniently placed pillar, we have embarked on a fun journey. 

 

Fast forward seven years, and today, we take immense pride in transforming from a humble home bakery into a flourishing chain of dessert stores. We now have a team of talented bakers and over hundred thousand happy customers!

 

As we reminisce about our humble beginnings, we are driven by the fond memories and the desire for more of those delightful days. Our journey has taught us invaluable lessons, instilled a passion for perfection, and reinforced our commitment to spreading happiness in every bite.

New Format

Step into The Brownie Studio, a dessert haven that has delighted Chennai since 2017. 

We had embarked on this adventure with a simple goal – to share our love for artisanal brownies, pastries, and more with our valued customers. Every delectable treat from The Brownie Studio is crafted with utmost care, precision, and a sprinkle of love, ensuring unmatched quality and taste.

 

Our story begins with our founder Shalini who had a weakness for brownies. Consuming half a tray of these irresistible treats sparked the idea that others would enjoy them just as much. And so, armed with ambition and a touch of naivety, The Brownie Studio was born. At that time, we were just a home baker with big dreams.

 

The memory of our first store is still etched in our hearts. With a limited budget, we transformed every corner of a small 10*10 space in a IT food court (which had no takers due to large pillar coming bang in the middle of the shop) into a cozy and charming space. 

 

I personally painted the wooden structures, while a friend lent a hand in creating our logo board. Every cupboard and tiny detail was given a personal touch, turning an empty corner into a delightful store. I vividly recall the days of requesting the management to let me use the common light without charge, as we strived to make every rupee count. Those early days were filled with challenges and perseverance.

 

Over the past six years, we have faced numerous obstacles and setbacks, but we never lost sight of our vision. Despite the hardships, we emerged stronger and wiser. Our dedication to understanding our customers' desires and creating a delightful experience has always remained intact. Even in the early days, I couldn't resist devouring half a tray of freshly baked brownies, and that passion still drives me to deliver the same level of joy with each creation. The COVID-19 pandemic hit us hard, with all our stores temporarily closed. However, we adapted and transformed, establishing 13 delivery outlets that have surpassed our previous achievements.

 

Today, The Brownie Studio stands tall with a growing team and an expanded product line. We started with our beloved brownies and cakes, but now we offer a wide array of treats, including cookies, dry cakes, tres leches, and much more. Our unwavering commitment lies in using the finest quality ingredients to ensure exceptional taste. We take immense pride in witnessing the contagious smiles that spread across our customers' faces when they open their Brownie Studio treats. Our ultimate goal is to create wider smiles, whether we have one store or many.
